BLACK WATCH PRODUCTIONS, INC. - About Us

2012 marks the 23rd anniversary of Black Watch Productions, Inc. Twenty-plus years as a full-service production and post-production company in the volatile, ultra competitive market that is New York City equals unparalleled resources, experience and quality. Our doors opened in May of 1989, and we have moved from production offices on the upper West Side of Manhattan, to our studio and post-production facility at 49 Murray Street in Tribeca, to our newest home in Hoboken’s “Upper Grand” area in the Pilsener Haus building, right above the best beer garden in New Jersey.

Talent, experience and versatility are what Black Watch has brought to the production of TV Promos, Upfronts, PSA’s, Commercials, Films and TV projects since 1989. We have expanded our clientele considerably over the years, as well as our scope and our reach. We are a full service production group offering a complete range of Agency-style Creative, Production, Editorial, Graphic and Animation services in a Boutique, a la carte format.

We offer extremely competitive production and post-production packages, as well as creative treatments, storyboards, spot translations, foreign media conversions and broadcast media trafficking. We specialize in doing versatile, high quality production, production services and postproduction in a fluid, client-friendly and economically flexible atmosphere. We write creative treatments; shoot scripted and unscripted material; craft Real People segments; shoot green screen and cooking competitions with short turnarounds; find wacky locations, rare props, and tame difficult talent – we make it happen every time.

Over the past year we have produced a complete rebrand of HLN, shooting On-Air Talent in New York, Atlanta and Los Angeles; completed a Hyundai Branded Content “Chopped” Promo for Food Network; shot the launch promos for Spike’s “Inkmasters” and Speed’s “Pimp My Ride” reboot, as well as national spots for Hiscox Insurance, and the USO.

So please, surf around, check us out. Look at the work of our directors, co-owner, Monica Anderson, Jim Dollarhide and Jim Donovan. We also work with talented freelance directors and DPs from all over the country, so we can pretty much tailor any talent to any project. We also provide great production services to designer/directors, postproduction and EFX houses, as well as full support for Ad Agency Creatives who want to direct.

Over twenty years worth of talent, experience, perseverance and resources makes Black Watch an invaluable production partner. Give us a call and let us show you what we can do for you.
